1. Alif, Lam, Meem.
2. This is the Book in which there is no doubt, a guide for the righteous.
3. Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and donate from what We have provided for them.
4. And who believe in what has been revealed to you (O Prophet) and what was revealed before you, and have sure faith in the Hereafter.
5. It is they who are ˹truly˺ guided by their Lord, and it is they who will prosper.
6. Indeed, those who reject the faith - it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe.
7. Allah has (further)sealed their hearts and their hearing, and their sight is covered. They will suffer a tremendous punishment.
8. And there are some who say, “We believe in Allah and the Last Day,” yet they are not (true) believers.
9. They try to deceive Allah and the believers, and instead they deceive themselves, though they don't realize.
10. There is sickness in their hearts, and Allah (only) lets their sickness increase. They will suffer a painful punishment for their lies.
11. When they are told, “Do not spread corruption in the land,” they reply, “Why we are only reformers.”
12. Listen (O Prophet) , indeed, they are the troublemakers, but they don't realize.
13. And when they are told, “accept faith as others believe,” they reply, “Do we believe as the fools believe?” Indeed, it is they who are fools, but they do not know.
14. When they meet the believers they say, “We accept faith.” But when alone with their evil ones they say, “We are definitely with you; we were only jesting.”
15. Allah will throw their mockery back at them, leaving them to continue wandering blindly in their defiance.
16. They are the ones who trade guidance for mischief. But this trade is profitless, and they are not ˹rightly˺ guided.
17. Their example is that of someone who kindles a fire, but when it lights up all around them, Allah takes away their light, leaving them in complete darkness—unable to see.
18. (They are willfully) deaf, dumb, and blind, so they will never return (to the Right Path).
19. Or like a rainstorm from the sky with darkness, thunder, and lightning. They press their fingers into their ears from the thunderbolts, for fear of death. And Allah encompasses the faith-rejectors.
20. The lightning almost snatches their sight away. Whenever lightning strikes, they walk in its light, but when darkness covers them, they stand still. Had Allah willed, He could have taken away their hearing and sight. Surely Allah is Most Capable of everything.
21. O people! Worship your Lord who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous.
22. who spread out the earth floor for you, and the sky as a canopy, and sent down water from the sky, causing fruits to grow as a provision for you. So do not knowingly assign rivals unto Allah (as God).
23. And if you are in doubt about what We have revealed from time to time, to Our religious messenger,1 then produce a sûrah like it and call your helpers other than Allah, if what you say is true.
24. But if you can not—and you will not—then beware the Fire whose fuel is people and stones, prepared for the faith rejectors.
25. And give good news to those who believe and do righteous deeds; that they will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. Whenever provided with fruit, they will say, “This is what we were given before,” in fact, served fruits will look similar ˹but different in taste. They will have pure spouses, and they will be there forever.
26. Allah does not shy away from making an example of a mosquito or what is even smaller. As for the believers, they know that it is the truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, they say, “What did Allah intend by this similitude? By it He causes many to stray, and many to the right path. And He causes not to stray except the violators.
27. those who violate Allah’s covenant after it has been affirmed, break apart whatever Allah has ordered to be maintained, and spread corruption in the land. It is they who are the losers.
28. How can you deny Allah? You were lifeless and He gave you life, then He will cause you to die and again bring you to life, and then you will be returned to Him.
29. He is the One Who created everything in the earth for you. Then He rose over, towards the Cosmos, made them into seven (cascaded) sky levels and He is the All-Knower of everything.
30. And when your Lord said to the angels, “I am placing a successor on earth.” They said, “Will You place in it someone who will cause corruption in it and shed blood, while we glorify You with praises and thanks, and proclaim Your holiness?” He said, “I know what you don`t know.
31. And He taught Adam the names - all of them. Then He placed them before the angels and said, "Inform Me the names of these, if you are truthful."
32. They (angels) said: "Glory be to You, we have no knowledge except what you have taught us. indeed, it is You, the All-Knower, the All-Wise."
33. He said, "O Adam, tell them of their names." And when he had told them of their names, He said, "Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of the cosmos and the earth? and I know what you reveal and what you have been concealing?"
34. And When angels were said, “Bow down to Adam.” They bowed down, except for Iblees (Satan). He refused, was arrogant, and was one of the disbelievers.
35. And said: "O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in the Paradise and eat both of you freely with pleasure and delight of things therein as wherever you will, but do not approach this tree, or else you be among the wrongdoers."
36. But Satan caused them to slip out of it and removed them in which they had been. And We said, "Go down all (human and Satan), as enemies to one another, and you will have upon the earth a place of settlement and provision for a time."
37. Then Adam learnt Words from his Lord. And He pardoned him. Indeed, He is the One Who forgives, the Most Merciful.
38. Its said: "Get down all of you from this place (the Paradise), then whenever there comes to you Guidance from Me, and whoever follows My Guidance, there shall be no fear on them, nor shall they grieve.
39. But those who disbelieve and deny Our verses, will be the residents of the Fire. They will be there forever.”
40. O children of Israel!1 Remember My favors upon you, fulfill your pledge to Me, and I will fulfill My pledge to you, and fear none but Me.
41. And believe in what I revealed (in Quranic messages), confirming what is with you (Torah and Injeel); and do not be the first to deny it; and do not exchange My revelations for a small price; and fear [only] Me.
42. Do not cover truth with falsehood or hide the truth knowingly.
43. Establish prayer, and pay zakah (alms-tax),1 and bow down(in prayer) with those who bow down.
44. Do you preach righteousness and fail to practice it yourselves, although you read the Scripture? Do you not understand?
45. And seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, it is a burden except for the humbly submissives.
46. Who are certain that they will meet their Lord and that they will return to Him.
47. O Children of Israel! Remember ˹all˺ the favors I granted you and how I preferred you over the others.
48. And beware the Day (of Judgement) when a person shall not avail another, nor any intercession will be accepted on its behalf, nor compensation will be taken from him nor they will be helped.
49. And, when We saved your forefathers from the people of Pharaoh, who afflicted you with the worst torment, slaughtering your [newborn] sons and keeping your females alive. And in that was a great test from your Lord.
50. And, when We parted the sea, rescued you, and drowned Pharaoh’s people before your very eyes.
51. And when We made an appointment with Musa for forty nights., then you took the calf (for worship) in his absence, acting wrongfully.
52. Then after that We forgave you so that you might be grateful.
53. And that, We gave Musa the book and the standard rule info, so that you would be guided.
54. And when Musa (Moses) said to his people: "O my people! indeed, you have wronged yourselves by taking of the calf [for worship]. So repent to your Creator and execute (the calf-worshippers among) yourselves, that will be better for you with your Lord." Then He accepted your repentance. Truly, He is the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful.
55. And when you said: "O Musa (Moses)! We shall never believe in you till we see Allah plainly." But you were dazed by thunderbolt (lightning) while you were looking.
56. Then We brought you back to life after your death, so that perhaps you would be grateful.
57. And We shaded you with clouds, and We sent down to you manna and quails: “Eat of the good things We have provided for you.” They did not wrong Us, but (instead) they used to wrong their own souls.
58. And that We said, “Enter this town, and eat plentifully from it whatever you wish; and enter the gate bowing humbly and say, 'pardon us.' "And we shall forgive you your sins and shall increase blessing for the good-doers.”
59. But the wrongdoers among them substituted words other than those given to them, so We sent down on the wrongdoers a punishment from the sky, because of their wicked behavior.
60. And when Musa (Moses) prayed for water, for his people, We said: "Strike the rock with your stick." Then twelve springs gushed out, each tribe knew its drinking place. ˹We then said,˺ “Eat and drink of Allah’s provisions, and do not corrupt the earth with disobedience.”
61. And when you (people in Israel) said, "O Musa (Moses)! We cannot relay on one kind of food. So call upon your Lord to produce for us from the earth its green herbs and its cucumbers and its garlic and its lentils and its onions. He (Moses) said, "Would you exchange that which is better for that which is lower? (Allah advised) Go down to Egypt or any village and you will find what you have asked for.” They were stricken with disgrace and misery, and they invited the displeasure of Allah. That was because they rejected Allah’s revelations and wrongfully killed the prophets. That was because they disobeyed and crossed limit of tolerance.
62. Indeed, Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians [before Prophet Muhammad] , whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.
63. And recall when We received a pledge from you, and raised the Mount Toor above you: “ Hold firmly (the revelation) We have given you, and remember what is in it, that you may attain righteousness.”
64. But after that you turned away. Were it not for Allah’s grace and mercy towards you, you would have been among the losers.
65. And indeed you knew those amongst you, who broke the Sabbath (Saturday rule ). We said to them: "Be you (convert to) disgraced monkeys."
66. So We made their fate an example to present and future generations, and a lesson for the righteous.
67. And when Musa (Moses) said to his people: "indeed, Allah commands you that you slaughter a cow." They said, "Do you make fun of us?" He said, "I seek refuge in Allah from being among the ignorant."
68. They said, “Call upon your Lord to clarify for us (what type ˹of cow˺ it should be)” He replied, ‘The cow should neither be old nor young but in between. So do as you are commanded’.
69. They said, "Call upon your Lord to show us what is her color." He said, "He says, 'It is a yellow cow, bright in color - pleasing to the observers.' "
70. They said, "Call upon your Lord to make clear to us what it is. Indeed, [all] cows look the same to us. And indeed we, if Allah willing, we will be guided."
71. He [Musa] said, "He (Lord) says, 'It is a cow neither used to till the soil nor water the fields, as a whole, free from fault with no spot " They said, "Now you have brought the truth." So they slaughtered it, though they were near, not doing it.
72. And when a man was killed and you disputed (who the killer was), but Allah revealed what you concealed.
73. So, We said, "Strike him (the slain man) with part of it (meat)." That's how Allah can bring the dead to life, and shows you verses (as signs) that might get you wisdom.
74. Then your hearts become hardened like a rock or even harder, for some rocks gush rivers; others split, spilling water, and indeed, there are of them (stones) which fall down for fear of Allah. And Allah is not unaware of what you do.
75. O ˹believers, do you still, expect them to be true to you, though a group of them would hear the message of Allah then knowingly change it after understanding it?
76. And when they meet the believers they say, “We believe.” But in private they say ˹to each other˺, “Will you disclose to the believers the knowledge Allah has revealed to you,1 so that they may use it against you before your Lord? Do you not understand?”
77. But do they not know that Allah knows what they conceal and what they declare?
78. And among them are uneducated in reading book, who trust upon false narratives and guess.
79. Then curse those who write the Book with their own hands and then say, "This is from Allah," to purchase with it a little price! curse to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for that they earn thereby.
80. Some of˺ them said, “The (hell) Fire will not touch us except for a number of days.” Say, (O Prophet) “Have you (they) made an agreement with Allah—for Allah never breaks His word—or are you ˹just˺ saying about Allah that you do not know?”
81. Nay, whosoever seek gain in evil and sin has surrounded them, they are dwellers of the Fire (Hell); they will be there forever.
82. And those who have faith and do righteous good deeds, they are dwellers of Paradise, they will be there forever.
83. And when we made an agreement with the Children of Israel: “Worship no other except Allah; and be kind to parents, and relatives, and orphans, and the needy; and speak nicely to people; and establish prayer, and give zakat (charity).” Then you turned away, except for a few of you, and you are un-followers.
84. And when We took your agreement, "Do not shed each other's blood or evict one another from your homes." Then you acknowledged while you were witnessing.
85. But here you are, killing each other and expelling some of your people from their homes, aiding one another in sin and aggression; and when those ˹expelled˺ come to you as captives, you still ransom them—though expelling them was unlawful for you.1 Do you believe in some parts of the book and reject the rest? Is there any reward for those who do so among you other than disgrace in this worldly life and being subjected to the harshest punishment on the Day of Judgment? For Allah is never unaware of what you do.
86. These are the ones who chose the life of this world over Hereafter. So their punishment will not be reduced, nor will they be helped.
87. Indeed, We gave Moses the Book and sent successive messengers after him. And We gave Isa, son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the holy spirit. Why is it that every time a messenger comes to you with something you do not like, you become arrogant, calling imposters to some and killing others?
88. And they said, "Our hearts are wrapped." But, Allah has cursed them for their disbelief, but little faith.
89. And when a book (Quran) came to them from Allah, confirming what they already have—although previously they were seeking victory against those who disbelieved—but when it came to what they recognized, they rejected it. so the curse of Allah will be upon the disbelievers.
90. Miserable is the price they have sold their souls for—by denying Allah’s revelation (the Qur'an), arguing why Allah revealed His blessing to whoever He chose as servants (messengers). So they have drawn wrath upon wrath on themselves. And there is humiliating torment for the disbelievers.
91. When it is said to them: “Believe in what Allah has revealed (Quran),” they reply, “We only believe in what was sent down to us (Torah),” and they deny what came afterwards (Quran), regardless it confirms their own Scriptures! Ask (them, O Prophet) “Why then did you kill Allah’s prophets before, if you are ˹truly˺ believers?”
92. And indeed, Moses came to you with clear proof, then you worshipped the calf in his absence, acting wrongfully.
93. And When we established an agreement with you, and raised the Mount of Toor above you: “Hold (revelation) what We have given you firmly, and listen.” They said, “We heard but disobeyed (instead).” And their hearts became filled with the love of the calf because of their disbelief.” Say, (O Prophet). “How evil is what your ˹so-called˺ belief prompts you to do so. if you are (real) believers.”
94. Say, [O Muhammad], "If the home of the Hereafter with Allah is for them alone and not the [other believer] people, then wish for death(to find out earlier), if they are truthful.
95. But they will never wish for it (death) ever, because of what their hands have done. And Allah has ˹perfect˺ knowledge of the wrongdoers.
96. You will surely find them more greedy for life than any other people,, even more than idolator people. Every one of them wishes he could live a thousand years; but to be granted a long life will not save them from the punishment. Allah is Seeing of what they do.
97. Say, “Whoever is hostile to Gabriel—it is he , who revealed (verses) it to your heart by Allah’s will, confirming what came before it (Torah and Injeel), and guidance and good news for the believers.”
98. Whoever is hostile to Allah, His angels, His messengers, Gabriel, and Michael, then Allah is certainly the hostile of the disbelievers.
99. And We have certainly revealed to you verses, clear proofs, and no one would deny them except the disobedient.
100. Why is it that, every time they make an agreement, some of them toss it aside? In fact, many of them are faithless.
101. And when a messenger from Allah came to them confirming (the book) that was already with them, a party of those who had been given the Scripture, threw the Scripture of Allah behind their backs as if they did not know it
102. And they followed what the Satans(devils) taught during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but it was the devils who disbelieved, teaching men magic and such things that came down at Babylon to the two angels, Harut and Marut. They did not teach anybody until they had said, “We are a test, so do not lose faith.” But they learned from them the means to cause separation between man and his wife. But they cannot harm
anyone except with Allah's will. And they learned what would harm them and not benefit them. Yet they knew that whoever deals in it will have no share in the Hereafter. Miserable is what they sold their souls for, if they only knew.
103. And had they believed and been righteous, the blessing from Allah would have been better, if they only knew.
104. O you who believe! Do not say ambiguous words(to the Prophet), but say words of respect, and listen. The disbelievers will have a painful torment.
105. The disbelievers, from followers of the (previous) Book and the (Allah) denial persons, would not want you to receive any blessing from your Lord, but Allah selects whoever He wills for His mercy. And Allah is the great (lord of ) grace.
106. Never (we) nullify a verse, or cause it to be forgotten, unless We bring one better than it, or similar to it. Do you not know that Allah is fully Capable of everything?
107. Do you not know that the kingdom of the skies and the earth belong (only) to Allah, and you have no guardian or helper besides Allah.
108. Or do you want to question your Messenger as Moses was questioned before? Whoever exchanges faith for disbelief has strayed from the right path.
109. Among many People of the (previous) Book wish they could turn you (people) back to disbelief because of their envy, after the truth has been made clear to them. But forgive and ignore them until Allah delivers His decision. Surely Allah is Most Capable of everything.
110. And establish prayer and give zakat (charity), and whatever good you put forward for yourselves - you will find it with Allah. Indeed, Allah sees well, all that you do.
111. And they say, "None will enter Paradise except one who is a Jew or a Christian." That is their wishful thinking, Say, "Produce your proof, if you are truthful."
112. In fact, whoever submits himself to Allah, and is a doer of good, will have his reward with his Lord—they have nothing to fear, nor shall they grieve.
113. The Jews say, “The Christians are not based on anything;” and the Christians say, “The Jews are not based on anything.” Yet they both read (their respective) book. Similarly, the wholly ignorant said the same thing. Allah will judge between them on the Day of Judgement regarding their differences.
114. And who does more wrong than those who forbid Allah’s Name from being mentioned in His places of worship and strive to cause trouble? Such people have no right to enter these places except with fear. For them is disgrace in this world, and they will suffer a tremendous punishment in the Hereafter.
115. And to Allah, belong the east and the west, so wherever you turn you are facing ˹towards˺ Allah. Indeed, Allah is all- limitless and knowing.
116. They say, " Allah has begotten a son." Glory be to Him! But rather, whatever is in the skies and the earth belongs, obedient to Him.
117. Originator of the skies and the earth. When He commands a matter, He only says to it, "Be," and it becomes.
118. Those who have no knowledge say, “If only Allah would speak to us or a verse would come to us!” The same was said by those who came before. Their hearts are all alike. Indeed, We have made clear verses for people who believe with certainty.
119. In fact we have sent you with the truth—bringing good news, and giving warnings. You will not be questioned about the inmates of Hell.
120. Never will the Jews or Christians go along with you, until you follow their faith. Say, “Allah’s guidance is the only ˹true˺ guidance.” And if you were to follow their desires after ˹all˺ the knowledge that has come to you, there would be none to protect or help you against Allah.
121. Those to whom We have given the Book, recite it with its true spirit. They believe in it. And whoever disbelieves in it - it is they who are the losers.
122. O Children of Israel! Remember My blessing which I gifted upon you, and that I have favored you over others in the world.
123. And fear a Day when no soul will be able to assist another soul at all, and no compensation will be accepted from it, nor any mediation will benefit it, nor will they be aided.
124. And when his Lord tested Abraham with certain commands, and he fulfilled them. He (Allah the greatest) said, “I am making you a leader of humanity.” He (prophet ibrahim) said, “ What about my offspring?” He said, “My pledge does not include the wrongdoers.”
125. And when We made the House (the Kabah at Makkah) a place of assembly for mankind and a place of safety. ˹saying˺, “˹You may˺ take the standing-place of Abraham2 as a site of prayer.” And We entrusted Abraham and Ishmael to purify My House for those who circle it, who self focused, and who bow and touchdown themselves ˹in prayer˺.
126. And when Abraham said, “O My Lord, make this city peaceful, and feed the people with fruits- those among them who believe in Allah and the Last Day.” He answered, “As for those who disbelieve, I will let them enjoy for a little while, then I will condemn them to the torment of the Fire. What an evil destination!”
127. And when Abraham raised the foundation of the House with Ishmael, ˹both praying,˺ “Our Lord! Accept from us. You indeed Hears all, Knows all.
128. Our Lord! Make us submit to You (as Muslims) and from our descendant nation (muslims), that will submit to You. Show us our prayer rituals( around Kaaba), and turn to us in grace. You are truly the Accepter of Repentance, Most Merciful.
129. Our Lord, and send among them a messenger from themselves who will recite to them Your verses and teach them the Book and wisdom and purify them. Indeed, . You are the Almighty, the Wise.”
130. And who turns away from the religion of Ibrahim, except a fool, We certainly chose him in this life, and in the Hereafter, he will surely be among the righteous.
131. When his Lord said to him, “Submit!” He said, “I have submitted to the Lord of the universe.”
132. And Abraham advised (near death) to his sons, and Jacob, “O my sons, Allah has chosen this religion for you, so do not die except in ˹a state of full˺ submission.”
133. Or did you witness when death came to Jacob? He asked his children, “Who will you worship after my passing?” They replied, “We will ˹continue to˺ worship your God, the God of your forefathers—Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac—the One God. And to Him we ˹all˺ submit.”
134. That was a nation who has passed away. For them is what they earned and for you is what you have earned. And you will not be accountable for what they have done.
135. And they say, "Be Jews or Christians, then you will be guided, ” Say, “No, We follow the faith of Abraham, the upright— not with ill faith persons."
136. Say, “We believe in Allah; and in the revelation given to us; and in what was revealed to Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the Descendants ; and in what was given to Moses and Jesus; and in what was given to the prophets—from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we submit.”
137. So if they believe in what you believe, then they will indeed be ˹rightly˺ guided. But if they turn away, they are simply opposed ˹to the truth, and Allah will be sufficient for you against them. For He Hears all, Knows all.
138. Allah’s coloring (gracefulness). And who gives better coloring than Allah? And we are his worshippers."
139. Say, “Would you dispute with us about Allah, while He is our Lord and your Lord? We are accountable for our deeds and you for your deeds. And we are devoted to Him ˹alone˺.
140. Or do you say that Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants were Jews or Christians? Say, "Do you know better than Allah ?" And who is more unjust than one who conceals a testimony he has from Allah ? And is Allah not unaware of what you do?
141. That was a community that had already passed away. For them is what they earned and for you is what you have earned. And you will not be accountable for what they have done.
142. The foolish among the people will ask, “Why did they turn away from Qiblah (the direction of prayer in Jerusalem) they used to face?”1 Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “The east and west belong ˹only˺ to Allah. He guides whoever, He wills to the Straight Path.”
143. And so We have made you a balanced community so that you might be witnesses over humanity and that the Messenger may be a witness over you. We assigned the Qillah of your former direction of prayer, only to distinguish those who would remain faithful to the Messenger from those who would lose faith. It was certainly a difficult test except for those who were guided by Allah. And Allah would never make your faith to be lost. Surely, Allah is Kind Merciful towards the people..
144. We have seen turning of your face towards the sky. So we will turn you towards a Qiblah (direction) that will satisfy you. So turn your face towards the Masjid Haram. And wherever you may be, turn your faces towards it. Those who were given the Book know that it is the Truth from their Lord; and Allah is not unaware of their actions.
145. And if you brought every sign to those who were given the (previous) book, they would not follow your qiblah (prayer direction). Nor will you be a follower of their qiblah. Nor would they be followers of one another's qiblah. So if you follow their desires after what has come to your knowledge, then, you would then be among the wrongdoers.
146. Those to whom We have given the Book recognize it (Qiblah) as they recognize their own children. But a group of them hides the truth knowingly.
147. The truth is from your Lord, so never be among the doubters.
148. Everyone turns to their own direction (of prayer). So compete with one another in doing good. Wherever you are, Allah will bring you all together (for judgment). Surely Allah is Most Capable of everything.
149. And wherever you go out, turn your face toward Masjid Haram(for prayer), and indeed, it is the truth from your Lord. And Allah is not unaware of what you do.
150. And to wherever you go out, turn your face toward Masjid Haram [for prayer]. And wherever you may be, turn your faces towards it, so that the people may not have any argument against you—except those among them who have wickedness. So do not fear them, but fear Me, that I may complete My blessings upon you, and that you may be guided.
151. Since We have sent you a messenger from among yourselves—reciting to you Our verses, purifying you, teaching you the Book and wisdom, and teaching you what you never knew.
152. So think of Me, and I will think of you. And thank Me, and do not reject faith.
153. O believers, Seek help in patience and prayer. Indeed Allah is with (those who) patiently persevere.
154. And do not say of those who are killed in the cause of Allah, “Dead.” Rather, they are alive, but you do not have awareness .
155. And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of goods, lives and fruits, and give comfort news to those who patiently persevere.
156. Those who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed we will return (to him)."
157. Those are the ones upon whom are blessings and mercy, from their Lord. And it is those who receive guidance.
158. Indeed, as-Safa and al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allah . So whoever makes Hajj to the House or performs 'umrah - there is no blame upon him for compassing around. And whoever volunteers good - then indeed, Allah is appreciative and Knowing.
159. Indeed, those who conceal what We sent down of clear proofs and guidance after We made it clear for the people in the book- those are cursed by Allah and curse by those who entitled to curse,
160. Except of those who repent, mend their ways, and openly declare (truth), they are the ones to whom I will turn ˹in forgiveness˺, for I am the Accepter of Repentance, Most Merciful.
161. Indeed, those who reject faith and die while they are disbelievers - upon them will be the curse of Allah and of angels and of all mankind.
162. They will remain under it forever, and the torment will not be lightened for them, and there will be no pause.
163. Your God is one God. There is no god but He, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
164. Indeed in the creation of the skies and the earth; in the alternation of night and day; in the ships that sail the oceans for the benefit of mankind, in the water that Allah sends down from the sky, and revives the earth with it after it had died, and scatters in it all kinds of creatures; in the changing of the winds, and the clouds drifting between the sky and the earth; are signs for wise people.
165. Still there are some who take others (for worship) besides Allah, as equal—they love them as they should love Allah—but the ˹true˺ believers love Allah even more. If only the wrongdoers could see the ˹horrible˺ punishment ˹awaiting them˺, they would certainly realize that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah indeed enforce severe punishment.
166. Those who were followed will then disown those who followed them, and they will see the punishment , and relations between them will be disconnected.
167. The (misled) followers will say, “If only we could have a second chance, we would disown them as they disowned us.” And thus Allah will show them their actions. And they will never ˹be able to˺ leave the Fire.
168. O people! Eat of what is on earth lawful and good, and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. He is an open enemy to you.
169. He only commands you to be evil and shameful and to say about Allah, that you have no knowledge.
170. And when it is said to them, "Follow what Allah has revealed," they say, "Rather, we will follow our Forefathers." Even though their Forefathers were neither wise, nor were they guided?
171. And the example of disbeliever persons is the person who cann`t hear anything said, or hears un-comprehended voices and calls - deaf, dumb and blind, without wisdom.
172. O believer people! Eat food from the clean, we have provided for you. And be grateful to Allah if this is him you worship.
173. Indeed only, forbidden you dead animals , and blood, and pig meat, and whatever is slaughtered in the name of any other, than Allah. But if one is forced by necessity without wilful disobedience , neither driven by exceeding desire—they will not be sinful. Surely Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
174. Indeed those who conceal what Allah revealed in the Book, and exchange it for a small price—those swallow nothing but fire into their bellies. And Allah will not speak to them on the Day of judgement, nor He will purify them, and they will have a painful punishment.
175. Those are the ones who have exchanged guidance to dishonorable character, and forgiveness for punishment. But why are they eager for the Fire?
176. That is because Allah has revealed the Book in truth. And surely those who differ over the Book are far away in opposing it.
177. Right act is not (only), you turn your faces toward the east or the west, Rather the righteous are those who believe in Allah ,and the Last Day, and the angels, and the Book, and the prophets, and, instead of wealth love, gives to relatives, and orphans, and the needy, and the traveler, and those who ask, and for freeing slaves; and establishes prayer and gives Zakah [charity], and fulfill their promise when they promise, and are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who are truthful, and those who are devoted.
178. O believing persons! ˹The law of˺ retaliation is set for you in cases of murder—a free man for a free man, a slave for a slave, and a female for a female. But if the offender is pardoned by the victim’s guardian, then blood-money should be decided fairly and payment should be made with good conduct. This is a concession from your Lord, and a mercy. But whoever commits aggression after that, a painful torment awaits for him.
179. And in retaliation(law) there is life, O reasonable people, so that you may become devoted.
180. It is prescribed that when death approaches any of you—if they leave something of value—a Will, should be made in favor of parents and immediate family with fairness.1 ˹This is˺ an obligation on those who are mindful
181. Then whoever changes the will, after hearing it, the blame will only be on those who made the change. Indeed, Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
182. Whoever suspects an error or an injustice then reconciles between them, he commits no sin. Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
183. O believing persons! Fasting is prescribed for you—as it was prescribed for those before you1—so perhaps you will become righteous.
184. (Fasting) for a few number of days, whoever of you is ill or on a journey, then ˹an equal number of days (fasting after Ramaḍan to make up). For those who can only fast with extreme difficulty, compensation can be made by feeding a needy person (for every day not fasted). But whoever volunteers to give more, it is better for them. And to fast is best for you, if you know.

185. Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was revealed. Guidance for mankind, with clear proofs of guidance and decisive judgement. Whoever of you witnesses the month, shall fast it. But whoever is sick, or on a journey, then a number of other days. Allah desires ease for you, and does not desire hardship for you, that you may complete the number, and glorify Allah for having guided you, so that you may be grateful.
186. And when My worshippers ask you about Me, I am near; I listen the call of the caller when he calls Me. So let them listen My call, and have faith in Me, that they may be rightly guided.

187. It is Permitted for you to have sexual relations with your wives on the night of the fast. They are a garment for you, and you are a garment for them. Allah knows what you used to do secretly among yourselves, so He turned to you and forgave you. So approach them now, and seek what Allah has prescribed for you, and eat and drink until you see the light of dawn breaking the darkness of night, then complete the fast until nightfall. But do
not approach them as long as you are staying for worship in the mosques. These are the limits of Allah, so do not come near them. Allah thus clarifies His revelations to the people, that they may attain devotion.
188. And do not consume one another's wealth, is sinful, or send it to the rulers in order that you consume a portion of the wealth of the people, while you know.
189. They ask you about the phases of the moon. Say, “They are a means for people to determine time and pilgrimage.” Righteousness is not in entering your houses from the back doors.1 Rather, righteousness is to be mindful ˹of Allah˺. So enter your homes through their ˹proper˺ doors, and be mindful of Allah so you may be prosperous.
190. And fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits, Allah does not love the aggressors.
191. And kill them wherever you find them, and expel them from wherever they have expelled you, and oppression is worse than killing. And do not fight them at al-Masjid al- Haram until they fight you there. But if they fight you, then kill them, that is the equivalent response to the disbelievers.
192. And if they cease, then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
193. And fight them until there is no oppression, and worship becomes for faith in Allah. But if they cease, then let there be no hostility except against the corruptors.
194. There will be response in a holy month for ˹an offence in˺ a holy month, and all retaliate will bring about retaliation, retaliate in the same manner. ˹But˺ be mindful of Allah, and know that Allah is with those mindful

195. Spend in the cause of Allah and do not let your own hands throw you into destruction (by withholding money). And do the good deed, indeed Allah loves good deed doers.
196. And carry out the Hajj and the Umrah for Allah. But if prevented (from proceeding), then ˹offer˺ whatever sacrificial animals you can afford.
And do not shave your heads until the sacrificial animal reaches its destination. But if any of you is ill or has a scalp ailment (requiring shaving), then compensate either by fasting, charity, or a sacrificial offering. In times of peace, you may combine the pilgrimage and minor pilgrimage then make the sacrificial offering you can afford. Whoever cannot afford that (offering), let them fast three days during pilgrimage and seven after returning (home)—completing ten. These offerings are for those who do not live near the Masjid Haram. And be mindful of Allah, and know that Allah has severe punishment.
197. ˹Commitment to˺ Hajj is made in appointed months. Whoever commits to ˹performing˺ Hajj, let them stay away from intimate relations, foul language, and arguments during pilgrimage. Whatever good you do, Allah ˹fully˺ knows of it. And take provisions, but indeed, the best provision is righteousness. And be mindful of Me, O people of wisdom.
198. There is no blame on you for seeking the blessing of your Lord. When you return from Arafat, praise Allah near the Mashar-il-Haram and praise Him for having guided you, for surely before this ˹guidance˺ you were astray.
199. Then depart from the place from where [all] the people depart and ask forgiveness of Allah . Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
200. When you have completed your rites, praise Allah as you remember your parents, or praise even more. Among the people is, who says, “Our Lord, give us (rewards) in this world,” yet he has no share in the Hereafter.
201. And there are others who say, “Our Lord! Grant us the good of this world and the good of Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.”

202. These people will be allotted what they have earned. Allah is swift in accountability.
203. And remember Allah during the designated days. But whoever hurries on in two days commits no wrong, and whoever stays on commits no wrong—provided he maintains righteousness. And obey Allah, and know that you will be gathered ( in judgement day ground).
204. And there are some people, who impress you with their views regarding worldly affairs and openly call upon Allah to witness what is in their hearts, yet they are your worst in hostility.
205. And when he leaves, run over the land, spread corruption, and destroy crops and cattle. Allah does not like mischief.

206. And when he is told, “Beware of Allah,” his arrogance leads him to more crime. Hell is enough for him—and its an evil resting place.
207. And there are those who would dedicate their lives to Allah’s pleasure. And Allah is full of kindness to the devotees.
208. O you who have believed, enter into Islam completely [and perfectly] and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is a clear enemy to you.
209. But if you deviate after clear proofs have come to you, know that Allah is Powerful and Wise.
210. Are they waiting for Allah Himself to come down to them in the shadows of the clouds, and with the angels, and thus this settles (the matter)? (instead) All need to return to Allah.

212. The life of this world has been made appealing to the disbeliever persons, and they mock the believer persons. And righteous persons will get upgraded rank on the Day of Judgment. And Allah provides unlimited necessities to whoever He wills.
213. Mankind belongs to one religion then Allah sent the prophets, bringing good news and giving warnings. And He sent down with them the book, with the truth, to judge among people dispute. But none differed over it except those of hatred people— even after the proof had come to them. Then Allah guided believers in the truth they had disputed, in accordance with His commands. Allah guides whom He desires to a straight path.

214. Do you think you will be admitted into Paradise without being tested like those before you? They suffered from poverty and hardship and were shaken until messenger and believer persons cried,"When is the help of Allah ?" Indeed, Allah’s victory is near.

216. Fighting has been made obligatory upon you, though you dislike it. Perhaps you dislike something which is good for you and love something which is bad for you. Allah knows and you do not know.
217. They ask you about fighting during the prohibited Month. Say, “Fighting during these months is a great offense. But greater (offense) is, and hindering (others) from the Path of Allah, and rejecting Him, and expelling the worshippers from the holy Mosque is extreme offense in the sight of Allah. And persecution is far worse than killing. And they will not stop killing you until they turn you away from your faith—if they can. And whoever among you reverts from faith and dies as disbeliever, their deeds will become void in this life and in the Hereafter. They will be the residents of the Fire. They will be there forever.”

219. They ask you about wine and gambling . Say, "In them is great sin and [some] benefit for people. But sin is greater than their benefit." And they ask you how much they should spend. Say, "whatever is beyond your needs." Thus Allah makes clear to you by the verses for your knowing and thought.

220. To this world and the Hereafter. And they ask you about orphans. Say, "guidance to them is best. And if you mix your affairs with theirs - they are your brothers. And Allah knows the corrupter from the amender. And if Allah had intended, He could have overburdened you. Allah is Mighty and Wise.

221. Do not marry Non-faithful women , unless they become faithful. A believing slave maid is better than a Non-faith female, even if you like her. And do not marry Non-faithful men, unless they become faithful. A believer slave is better than a Non-faith person, even if you like him. They invite, to the Fire while Allah invites ˹you˺ to Paradise and forgiveness by His will. He makes His verses clear to the people so perhaps they will be mindful.

222. And they ask you (O Prophet) about menstruation. Say, that's filthy! So keep away from women during their monthly cycles, and do not have intercourse with your wives until they are clean. When they purify themselves, then you may approach them in the manner specified by Allah. Surely Allah loves those who always turn to Him always, and who (physically) keep clean.”

223. Your wives are your farmland, so come to your place of the (prepared) soil as you wish. And send forth something good for yourselves And be devoted to Allah and know that you will meet Him. And give good news to the believers.
224. Do not use Allah’s Name as an excuse, in your oath against being righteous and not guarding against evil, and (against) devoted and making peace between people. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
225. Allah will not hold you accountable for unintentional oaths, but for what you intended in your hearts. And Allah is Forgiving, Forbearing.

226. For those who swear not to have relations with their wives is a waiting time of four months, but if they return [to normal relations] - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
227. And if they decide on divorce - then indeed, Allah Hears all and Knows all.

228. Divorced women must wait three monthly cycles. It is not lawful for them to conceal what Allah has created in their wombs, if they believe in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands have the more right to take them back in that period, if they wish for reconciliation. And they (women) have similar rights over them to what is reasonable, although men have a preferred level upon them. And Allah is respected, Wise.

229. The divorce is (permissible) twice, after that, either you retain her on reasonable terms or release her with kindness. And it is not lawful for you to take anything of what you have given them unless both fear that they will not be able to keep the limits of Allah . But if you fear that they will not keep the limits of Allah, then there is no blame upon either of them if she gives back . These are the limits of Allah, so do not cross them. And whoever crosses the limits of Allah - those will be wrongdoers.
230. if he has divorced her [for the third time], then she is not lawful to him afterward till [after] she becomes the wife of another. And if the next husband divorces her [or dies], there is no blame upon the woman and her former husband for returning to each other , as long as they maintain the limits of Allah. These are the limits set by Allah, which He makes clear to people who understand.
231. When you divorce women and they have reached the end of their waiting period, either retain them on acceptable terms or let them go by acceptable terms. But do not retain them to harm them to take advantage. Whoever does that, surely wrongs himself. Do not take Allah’s revelations lightly. Remember Allah’s favours upon you as well as the Book and wisdom. He has sent down for your guidance. Be mindful of Allah, and know that Allah has knowledge of all.
232. And when you divorce women, and they have reached the end of their waiting period, do not prevent them from remarrying their persons of their choice, provided they agree on fair terms. Thereby is advised, whoever among you believes in Allah and the Last Day. That is better and more decent for you. Allah knows, and you do not know.

233. Mothers may breastfeed their children two complete years for whoever wishes to complete the nursing. but the father of the child shall bear the cost of the mother's food and clothing on a reasonable basis. No person shall be burdened beyond its capacity. No mother shall be harmed on account of her child, and no father shall be harmed on account of his child. No mother or father should be made to suffer for their child. The same duty rests upon the heir.
If both decide—after mutual consultation and consent—to wean a child, then there is no blame on them. If you decide to have your children nursed by a foster mother, it is permissible as long as you pay fairly. Be mindful of Allah, and know that Allah knows and sees what you do.
234. And those of you who die and leave wives behind them, they (the wives) shall wait for four months and ten days, then when they have fulfilled their term, then you are not blamed for what they decide for themselves in a reasonable manner. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do.
235. And there is no blame on you if you hint for a marriage proposal or conceal it in yourself, Allah knows that you will be thinking about them. But do not meet them secretly, unless you have something proper to say. And do not confirm the marriage tie until the writing is fulfilled. And know that Allah knows what is within yourselves, , so beware of Him. And know that Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing.
236. There is no blame if you divorce women before the marriage is completed or the traditional compensation is settled. But give them a ˹suitable˺ compensation—the rich according to his means and the poor according to his. A well-known compensation is an obligation on the good-doers.
237. And, if you divorce them before you have touched them, but after you had set the traditional compensation for them, give them half of what you specified—unless they forgo the right, or the one in whose hand is the marriage contract forgoes it. But to forego is nearer to righteousness . And do not forget generosity between one another. Allah is seeing everything you do.

238. Guard your prayers, and the middle prayer, and stand before Allah in devotion.
239. But if you are in fear (an enemy), then (pray) on foot, or riding. And when you are safe, narrate prayer for Allah, as He taught you what you did not know.
240. Those of you who die and leave wives behind—a will shall provide their wives with support and residence for a year, provided they do not leave. If they leave, you are not to blame for what they do with themselves, provided it is reasonable. Allah is Mighty and Wise.
241. Reasonable necessity supplies must be provided for divorced women—a duty on those mindful.
242. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you might get wisdom.
243. Have you not thought about those who fled their homes, by the thousands, fearful of death? Allah said to them, “Die.” Then He restored them. Allah is Gracious towards the people, but most people are not appreciative.
244. And fight in the cause of Allah and know that Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
245. Who is he that will offer Allah a generous loan, so He will multiply many times for his credit ? Allah receives and amplifies, and unto Him you shall return.
246. Have you not thought about the group of the Children of Israel after Musa ( after the time of Moses) when they said to a prophet of theirs, "Send to us a king, and we will fight for the sake of Allah "? He said, "It's not possible, if you were commanded to fight, that you will not fight?" They said, "And why should we not fight for Allah when we have been driven out from our homes and from our children?" But when fighting was prescribed for them, they turned away, except for a few of them. And Allah Knows about wrongdoers.
247. Their prophet told them, “Allah has appointed Talut (Saul) to be your king.” They said, "How can he be our king when some of us are more deserving of kingship than he, and he has not been given enough wealth." He replied, “Allah has chosen him over you and blessed him with knowledge and body structure. Allah grants kingship to whoever He wills. And Allah has vast knowledge.”
248. And their prophet said to them, "Indeed, a sign of his kingship is that a Sakina (wooden) box will come to you, from your Lord and a remnant of what the family of Musa and the family of Haron, carried by the angels. Indeed that is a sign for you, if you are believers."
249. When Talut (Saul) set out with the troops, he said, “Allah will be testing you at the river. Whoever drinks from it does not belong with me. But whoever does not drink from it, does belong with me, except for whoever scoops up a little with his hand.” But they drank from it, except for a few of them. Then, when he crossed it, he and those who believed with him said, “We have no strength to face Goliath and his troops today.” But those who knew that they would meet Allah said, “How many times has a small force overcome a large group by Allah’s will. Allah is with the steadfast.”
250. And when they confronted Goliath and his troops, they said, “Our Lord, pour down patience on us, and firmly plant our feet , and support us against the faithless people.”
251. By Allah`s will, they defeated them, and Dawood killed Goliath. And Allah blessed Dawood with kingship and wisdom and taught him what He intended. Had Allah not repelled a group of people by, the might of another, corruption would have dominated the earth, but Allah is Gracious to all over the worlds.
252. These are the Verses of Allah, We recite them to you in truth, and surely, you are one of the Messengers.
253.We have chosen some of those messengers above others. Allah spoke directly to some, and raised some with high rank. To Esa, son of Mary, We gave clear proof and supported him with the holy spirit . If Allah had willed, those succeeding them would not have fought each other after the clear proofs had come to them. But they differed, and some of them believed and some of them rejected. And if Allah had willed, they would not have fought each other, but Allah does what He intends.

254. O you who believe! Donate from what We have given you, before a Day comes in which no bargaining, nor friendship, nor mediating . And disbelievers are the wrongdoers.
255. Except Allah - there is no God, the Ever-Living, Everlasting of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the universe and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intervene to Him except by His intent? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they cannot grasp any of His knowledge, except whatever He allows. His Kursi extends over the universe and the earth, and their safeguard does not burden Him. And He is the Most High, the Supreme.
256. There shall be no forceful way in religion; the right way has become clearly different, from the wrong way. Whoever give up evil and believes in Allah, has grabbed the most firm handle; which does not break. Allah Hears all and Knows all.
257. Allah is the Guardian of those who have faith, bringing them out from darkness into light. But as for those who reject the faith, their supporters are evil entities, bringing them out from light into darkness. Those are the residents of the Fire, They will be there forever.
258. Are you not aware of the one who argued with Abraham about his Lord because Allah had granted him kingship? when Abraham said, “My Lord is the One Who has power to give life and cause death.” He said, “I too have the power to give life and cause death.” Abraham said, “But Allah brings the sun from the East, so bring it from the West,” And so the disbeliever got confused . And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

259. Or the one who passed by a city which was in ruins. He said, "Oh! How will Allah ever bring it to life after its death?" So Allah caused him to die for a hundred years then brought him back to life. (Allah) asked, “How long have you remained?” (He) said, “Perhaps a day or part of a day.” (Allah) said, “No! You have remained here for a hundred years! Just Look at your food and your drink; it has not changed with time. And look at your donkey; and We will make you a sign for the people. And look at the bones - how we bring them together and then cover them with flesh." When this was made clear to him, he said, “I know that Allah has power over all everything.”
260. And when Abraham said, “My Lord! Show me how you give life to the dead.” (Allah) said, "Have you not believed?" He said, "Yes, but only that my heart may be satisfied." (Allah) said: "Take four birds, train them to come to you,(cut them into pieces), and then put a portion of them on every hill, and call them, they will come to you in speed. And know that Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise."
261. The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven folds; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies (good deeds] for whom He wills. And Allah is massive-vast and knowledgeable.
262. Those who spend their wealth for the sake of Allah and do not mention their charity with reminders of their generosity or hurtful words—they will get their reward from their Lord, and there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve.
263. Kind words and forgiveness are better than charity followed by insults. And Allah is Self-Sufficient, Most Forbearing.
264. O believers! Do not waste your charity with (generosity) reminders or hurtful words, like those people who donate their wealth just to show off and do not believe in Allah or the Last Day. Their example is that of a hard smooth rock covered with a thin layer of soil hit by a strong rain—leaving it just a bare stone. Such people are not able to preserve what they earned. Allah does not guide disbelieving people.
265. And the example of those who donate their wealth, seeking Allah’s blessing and strengthening their souls, is that of a garden on a fertile hill. When heavy rain falls, it yields up twice its normal produce. If no heavy rain falls, a drizzle is sufficient. And Allah knows and sees whatever you do.
266. Would one of you wish to have a garden of date-palm trees and vines underneath which rivers flow in which he has all kinds of fruit? But he is met with old age and has weak children, and it is hit by a whirlwind containing fire and is burned. Thus does Allah make clear to you, verses that you might give thought. (safe guard good deed and charity, and don't ruin it by ill actions)
267. O believers! Donate from the best of what you have earned and of what We have produced for you from the earth. Do not pick out worthless things for donation, which you would not take [yourself] except with closed eyes. And know that Allah is Self-Sufficient, Praiseworthy.
268. The Satan prompting you with ˹the prospect of˺ poverty and urges you to the shameful deed, while Allah promises you forgiveness and blessing from Him. And Allah is massive-vast, All-Knower.
269. He gives wisdom to whomever He wills. Whoever is given wisdom has been granted many blessings. But none will understand except the mindful persons.
270. Whatever charity you give, or a pledge you fulfill, Allah knows it. The wrongdoers will have no supporters.
271. If you openly give charity, that is good. And if you keep it secret, and give it to the needy in private, that is better for you. And some of your misdeeds will be removed. And Allah, is aware with what you do.
272. Their guidance is not your responsibility, but Allah guides whom He wills. Any charity you give is for your own good. Any charity you give shall be for the sake of Allah. Any charity you give ,will be rendered back to you in full, and you will not be treated unjustly.
273. (Charity is) For the poor people, who are restrained in the right path of Allah, and unable to travel in the land. Those unfamiliar with their situation will think they are not in need because of their modesty. You can recognize them by their appearance. They do not beg people at all. Whatever you give in charity is certainly well known to Allah.
274. Those people who donate their wealth, day and night, secretly and openly—their reward is with their Lord, and there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve.
275. Those who consume interest cannot stand upright [on the Day of judgement] but will stand like those driven to madness by Satan’s touch. That is because they say, "Trade is like interest." But Allah has permitted trade and has forbidden interest. So whoever refrains after having received warning from their Lord—may keep their previous gains, and their case is left to Allah. As for those who persist, will be the residents of the Fire. They will be there forever.
276. Allah condemns interest and blesses charities. And Allah does not like every sinning disbeliever.
277. Indeed those who believe, and do good deeds, and establish prayer, and give charity—they will have their reward with their Lord, and they will have no fear, and nor they shall grieve.
278. O believers! Fear Allah, and give up remaining interest if you are ˹true˺ believers.
279. If you do not, then take notice of a war with Allah and His Messenger. But if you repent, you may retain your capital, neither causing harm, nor suffering harm.
280. And if it is difficult for someone to repay a debt, postpone it until a time of ease. And if you waive it as an act of charity, it will be better for you, if only you knew.
281. Be mindful of the Day when you will be returned to Allah, Then every soul will be compensated for what it earned. and they will not be treated unjustly.

282. O believing persons, when you contract a loan for a fixed period of time, write it down. Let the writer maintain justice between the parties. The writer should not refuse to write as Allah has taught them to write. They will write what the borrower dictates, bearing Allah in mind and not defrauding the debt. If the borrower is incompetent, weak, or unable to dictate, let their guardian dictate for them with justice. Call upon two of your men to witness. If two men cannot be found, then one man and two women of your choice will witness—so if one of the women forgets the other may remind her. The witnesses must not refuse when they are called upon. You must not be against writing ˹contracts˺ for a fixed period—whether the sum is small or great. This is more just ˹for you˺ in the sight of Allah, and more convenient to establish evidence and remove doubts. However, if you conduct an immediate transaction among yourselves, then there is no need for you to record it, but call upon witnesses when a deal is finalized. Let no harm come to the writer or witnesses. If you do, then you have gravely exceeded ˹your limits˺. Be mindful of Allah, that Allah teaches you. And Allah is well acquainted with all things.
283. If you are on a journey and a writer cannot be found, then a security deposit can be taken. If you trust one another, then ˹there is no need for a security, the borrower should honour this trust (by repaying the debt)—and let them fear Allah, their Lord. And do not hide the witnesses, for whoever hides it, their hearts are indeed sinful. And Allah knows what you do.
284. To Allah belongs whatever is in the universe and whatever is on the earth. Whether you express what is in your hearts or conceal it, Allah is aware. He forgives whoever He wills, and punishes whoever He wills. And Allah is Most Capable of everything.
285. The Messenger has what was revealed to him from his Lord, for the believers. They all have believed in Allah, and His angels, and His books, and His messengers: “We make no distinction between any of His messengers.” And they say, “We hear and we obey. Your forgiveness, our Lord. To you is destiny.”
286. Allah does not burden any soul beyond its capacity. All good deeds will result for its own benefit, and all evil actions will result to its own loss. “Our Lord! Do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord! Do not place a burden on us like the one you placed on those before us. Our Lord! Do not burden us with what we cannot bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our ˹only˺ Guardian. So grant us victory over the disbelieving people.”
