Surah Al-Fatihah
Surah Al-Fatiha (in Arabic text: الفاتحة) is the 1st chapter of the Qur’an. The surah titled in English means “The Opening” and it consists of 7 verses

Surah Al-Baqarah
Surah Al-Baqarah is the second and longest chapter of the Quran. It covers a wide range of themes including faith, law, guidance, community, and the lessons from past nations. The surah is named after the story of “The Cow” mentioned in verses 67-73
Chapter Summary:
- Surah, introduces the Quran as a guidance for the believers and warns against disbelief and hypocrisy.
- Narrates stories of the Children of Israel (Bani Israel) as lessons for the Muslim community.
- Mentions the change of Qiblah (direction of prayer) from Jerusalem to Makkah.
- Outlines major Islamic laws: prayer, fasting in Ramadan, charity, Hajj, marriage, divorce, inheritance, and business dealings.
- Emphasizes justice, patience, gratitude, and balance between faith and daily life.
- Contains Ayat al-Kursi (2:255), a powerful verse about Allah’s greatness and sovereignty.
- Concludes with a reminder of accountability on the Day of Judgment and a requesting for mercy and forgiveness.
Note: Surah Baqarah focuses on defining the community and addressing the Prophet Musa followers of that time, While next Surah Ale-Imran focuses on strengthening faith, addressing Prophet Isa followers of that time
